He was predeceased by: his father Robert M. Ryan; and his sister Molly Ryan. He is survived by: his fiancé Karol Lavoie; his mother Jeanne L. Ryan; his children, Bailey and Quinn Ryan; his siblings, Kevin Ryan (Joanne), Sara Kane (Jeff), Melissa Trillo (Terry) and Sean Ryan (Katie); and his nieces and nephews, Kelsey, Jake, Liam, Anthony, Jack, Charlie, Hudson, Maryn, Bobby and Grady.
