She was predeceased by: her parents, James Colten and Dorothy R. Colten. She is survived by: her brother William Colten (Bill); her nieces, Amy Colten (David Creatura) of Seattle, WA and Katherine Colten of Washington, DC.; her close friend Norma Fletcher; and her granddaughter Grace.
She was well-known among the many area schools and was many other teachers' "first request" when they needed a substitute. During the Covid pandemic, while unable to teach in the schools, she and Norma began home-schooling Grace, creating a special opportunity for all of them.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Beth's name to your favorite charity or non-profit institution.
