He is survived by: his parent Jean Foster Van Riper; his grandfather Foster; his wife Rebecca Chamberlain Van Riper; his sons, Christopher Adam Van Riper of Tampa, FL and Aaron Matthew Van Riper (Kellyn) of Charlotte, NC; his grandson Waylon Van Riper of Charlotte; his brother Jeffrey Van Riper (Joy); his sons, Jason Riper, Jeremy Riper of Farmington, NY and Timothy Van Riper (Tammy) of Geneva, NY; and his sisters, Abigal Ellison (Jeffrey) of Lockwood, NY., Jaime Kelley of Lockwood, NY. and Juliete Kelley (Steve) of Lockwood, NY..
He served over 10 years in that capacity and discovered new ways to involve more people and to increase the donations.
