It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth D. Townsend of Genoa, New York, born in Corning, New York, who passed away on October 31, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Dean and Helen Dean (Hatt); her husband Robert "Bob" K. Townsend; her stepfather Albert Leonard; her brother James Dean; and her stepsister Marcia Leonard.
She is survived by: her daughter Jennifer; her son-in-law Timothy Driscoll; her grandchildren, Bryan of Genoa and Kaley Driscoll of Genoa; her brother Charles Dean (Tammy); her niece Nicole Sedorus (Justin); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Avery and Colton; and also, James Dean (Kristina) and Jenna Dean. She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Shurtleff Funeral Home - Genoa (10117 NY-90, Genoa, NY 13071). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Shurtleff Funeral Home (10117 NY-90, Genoa, NY 13071).
