He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Shoemaker and Dorothy Phillips Shoemaker; his brother Howard "Howie" Shoemaker; his parents-in-law, Patrick and Hazel Rouland; and his siblings-in-law, Donald, William, Jeremiah Rouland and Rose Rouland.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Shoemaker of Geneva; his son Randy Shoemaker (Amy) of Geneva; his granddaughter Sierra Lynn Shoemaker; his brothers, Harold Shoemaker of Clifton Springs and David Shoemaker (Jane) of Virginia; and his siblings-in-law, Patrick Rouland of Boston, Frederick Rouland of Sodus, Marilyn Laursen (Gary) of Geneva, Patricia Price (Stephen) of Webster and Roseann Rouland of Waterloo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
