She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldred Coon and Clara Coon (Petersen); her children, Russell Sternes and Lauri Uldriks (Sternes); and her siblings, Eldeen Fox and Pete Coon.
She is survived by: her siblings, Jean Switzer, Ethel Acquilano and Paul Coon; and her son Paul Eric Sternes. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital or American Cancer Society.
