With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joy Lynne Rothfuss in Geneva, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 2, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Edwin G. Nelson; her brother Roger; and her sister-in-law Sandy Nelson. She is survived by: her mother Jean Crouch Nelson of Waterloo, NY; her children, Jason Swartley (Luisa) of Geneva, NY and Jamie Mesmer (John) of Geneva, NY; her grandchildren, Alexander John Mesmer, Bella, Olivia, Liam and Ethan Swartley; her siblings, Alyce Foster (Gary) of Silver Springs, MD, Ruth Hayward (Jerry) of Waterloo, NY and Paul Nelson (Amy Jo) of Romulus, NY; and her uncle Paul Crouch of Phelps, NY. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Coe-Genung Funeral Home (46 W Main St, Waterloo, NY 13165).
