He was predeceased by: his son Johnny; his granddaughter Emma Rose; his parents-in-law, Heinrich and Emma Heister; his brother Bill O'Byrne; his siblings-in-law, Mary O'Byrne, Kaye, Neil Flynn and Paul Nagle; his aunt Mollie; his uncle Joseph McDonough; and also Patti Seelbach (Flynn).
He is survived by: his daughter Deborah O'Byrne (Duncan Oldham); his sister Peggy Nagle; his cousin Mamie Higgins; and his goddaughters, Joanne Reed (O'Byrne) and Peggy Jones (Nagle). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
