As John departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy John leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Schibley and Rose Perry Schibley; his wife Jean McNicholas Schibley; and his sister Shirley DePaolis. He is survived by: his children, Michael Schibley (Beth), Laurie and Patty Schibley. He is also survived by five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home (181 N Main St, Geneva, NY 14456). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions, in his memory, may be made to St. Francis - St. Stephen's School Education Fund or to Our Lady of Peace Parish.
