He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Bero Sr. and Margaret Cane Bero; his wife Marion Petrossi Bero; and his siblings, Donald Bero and Margaret "Peggy" Maggione.
He is survived by: his children, Lorraine McGuigan (Charles Blowers) of Geneva, John Bero, III (Diane) of Canandaigua, Steven Bero (Cynthia) of Canandaigua and David Bero (Sandra) of Canandaigua; his grandchildren, Francis McGuigan (Arielle), Rebecca McGuigan, John Bero, IV (Elizabeth), Jeffrey Bero, Nicholas Bero (Jeanine), Stefanie Perry (Stephen), Christopher Bero (Rachael Dedlow), David Bero, Jr. and Allyson Bero; and his great grandchildren, Addison McGuigan-Westfall, Adrian Bero, Ainsley Bero, Micah Shmilovich and Luca Perry. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
