She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Dermott and Mabel Dermott (Hilliker); and her brother Fred Dermott. She is survived by: her husband Michael J. Scala, Jr. of Geneva; her son Michael J. Scala III (Marie-Ann) of Geneva; her sisters, Janet Sneddon of Millbrook, NY and Dorothy Sobus of Seneca Falls; and her grandchildren, Christopher, Victoria, Isabella and Michael IV. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
