With solemn reverence, we commemorate Darlene Marie Cieri (Geneva, New York), whose life came to an end on February 16, 2025, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Darlene Marie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Darlene Marie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She is survived by: her husband Fred Cieri; her grandchildren, Liam and Rosie Ryan; her siblings, Karen Campbell (Denny) and Charles Colegrove; and also, Shane Cieri (James), Caitlin Ryan (Mark), Drew Cieri (Megan Bleck) and Ricky Cieri (Tyler McDonald). She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many other relatives, friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Coe-Genung Funeral Home (46 W Main St, Waterloo, NY 13165). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Geneva Presbyterian Church (24 Park Pl, Geneva, NY 14456).
In lieu of flowers, Darlene's family asks that donations be sent on her behalf to support cancer research and women's health at the Mount Sinai Hospital Tisch Cancer Center (https://icahn.mssm.edu). The family would also welcome donations in Darlene's name to the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge (cancer.org/hopelodge) or Beverly Animal Shelter (https://www.mygiving.net).
