He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles F. Pitifer and Bertha Pitifer (Paul). He is survived by: his children, Charles F. Pitifer (B. J.) of Geneva and Deborah Gringeri (Robert) of Geneva; his sister Lucille Simpson of Canandaigua; his sisters-in-law, Anne Pitifer of Geneva and Jean Ritter of Geneva; his grandchildren, Steven Payne (Susan Panna), Rebecca Wandtke, Jaclyn Pitifer (Jelani Stewart), Christopher Pitifer (Katie) of Jenna Gringeri, R. J. and Marli Cooper (Colin); his siblings-in-law, Gary Nielson (Irene), Lynn Treadwell-Salerno (Woody) and Nancy Lally (Mike); his brother Salvatore Pitifer; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Simpson, Robert Ritter and John Treadwell (Judy). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
