He was predeceased by: his parents, Cornelius Taney and Alice Taney (Thelma Arnold Tane); and his siblings, Margaret Robinson, Rev. Francis, Cornelius and Robert Taney.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen; his children, Nancy Osborne (Burl) of Waterloo, Anna Taney of Waterloo and Alfred Taney of Boston, MA; his stepchildren, Tiffany, Tanya and Robert Higgins; his grandchildren, Alicia Osborne, Denise Denisi (Jeremy), Kathryne Jones, Abigail, Alexandra Taney, DeAnna Thurston and Matt Catucci; his great grandchildren, Riley Uhle, Karson, Kennedy Osborne, Natalie and Matthew Jones; his sister Alice Taney Lebrun; and his sisters-in-law, Doris and Barbara Taney. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
