He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Burns Spencer and Elizabeth Mary Spencer; his daughter Gloria Jean Halstead; and his sister Virginia Paulette Pollino. He is survived by: his children, William Halstead of Elmira, Joseph Edwards of Newark, Betty J. Johnson (William) of Geneva and Yvonne Golotty (Michael) of Elmira; and his sisters, Shirley Hardy (Randy) of Trumansburg and Betty Sanford. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
