He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Rozelle Appleton and Roger Appleton, Sr. of Wyoming; and his nephew Jonathon Appleton. He is survived by: his siblings, Roger Appleton (Nancy) of Bolivar, Keith Appleton (Rocio) of Gulf Breeze, FL, Gary Appleton (Cynthia) of Warsaw and Deborah Hale (Eric) of Mt. Morris; and his nieces and nephews, Jamie Hale, Samantha Fahey, Gregory Appleton (Amber), Ryan Appleton (Tiffany), Joshua Appleton (Paola), Peter Appleton (Jennifer) and Rachel Beck (David).
