He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Freeman and DeMaris Freeman. He is survived by: his wife Jean Freeman (Turgeon); his children, Michael Freeman (Alex Coulter) and Teresa Freeman (Sabastian Knapp); his siblings, Debora Cooper (Nick), Cheryl Duncan (Robert) and James Freeman (Shizuko); and his granddaughter Hazel Knapp.

“I am in tears ....what a kind and gentle soul . I found Dr. Freeman through my son who came home and told me all about how he found this dentist who had a great sense of humor and made him feel comfortable and said "mom, you really need to check him out, you're going to like him ". And how right he was. I will never forget my last visit when we shared some laughs and I told him what a nice man he was and how I came to him through my son and he smiled brightly. Dr. Freeman will be missed.”
