She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband William "Bill" Derby; her children, Margaret Derby, Sister Connie Derby, Rochester, Paul Derby (Michele) of Schenectady, NY, Martha Mock (Roger) of Altamont, NY, Jean McCart (Thomas) of Irondequoit, Philip Derby of Dania Beach, FL and Matthew Derby (Mary-Kim) of Pawtucket, RI; her grandchildren, Emily Mock, Joshua Mock (Allison), Svetlana Derby, Zooey Kim Conner and William Derby; her great grandchildren, Marianne and Gloria Mock; and her parents, Samuel Newton and Agnes Marie Mahoney Hope. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
