John R. Altavena Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 6, 2025, at the age of 83, John R. Altavena of Geneseo, New York passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John R. Altavena to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Altavena and Lucy Altavena (Mitkiewicz); his brother Alexander Altavena Jr.; and his stepdaughter Theresa Pfuntner-Donlon. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Altavena (Tschiderer); his stepchildren, Kim Starr (Mike), Jeanine Alcocer (Rudyard) and Douglas J. Pfuntner; his siblings-in-law, Paul Tschiderer (Linda), Thomas Tschiderer (Sharon), Richard Tschiderer, Daniel Tschiderer (Cathy) and Margaret Schuster (Mark); and his stepgrandchildren, Ali Colberg (Benjie), Rachel Starr, Daniel Starr, Carmen Alcocer and Joel Alcocer. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Michael's Cemetery (4324 Shelly Rd, Livonia, NY 14487). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Harrison-Lee American Legion Post #283 (3850 Federal Rd, Livonia, NY 14487).
