He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Anthony Festa and Bessie Festa (Impaglia); his wife Patricia Roberts; his children, Jim Festa (Elizabeth) of Auburn, Karen Kryder of Rochester, Donna Moore (Mark) of Florida, Jill Noto (Judd) of Lima and Dave Constantino of Mt. Morris; his great grandchildren, Brian, Christopher, Kevin, Matt, Corey, Casey, Katie, Jamie, Erin, Lauren, Bryson, Cameron and Carson; and his brothers, David Festa (Vickie) of Auburn and Carl. He was also cherished by 14 Grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to either Golisano's Children's Hospital or the Wilmot Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY 14642.

“Such wonderful memories and laughter with Johnsie and Gummy at Fratelli’s, Super Bowl parties, partying on my deck for a variety of celebrations, hanging out in Florida together, going to the meat market for steaks and gambling/cards at your house. I will always have these memories in my heart for the rest of my life. Johnsie, you were a good friend and a great guy to have in my life for many years. I can see Johnsie’s smile in my mind’s eye and hear his laugh. Miss you already.”
