It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James K. Somerville (Geneseo, New York), who passed away on October 20, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James K. Somerville to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Somerville (Van Konynenburg) and Glen Somerville. He is survived by: his wife Arleen Somerville (Harlin); his sister Mary Burkhardt; his siblings-in-law, Albert Burkhardt of Fearrington, NC and June Goetzke of Fredonia, WI; and his nephews, Timothy (Christina Goetzke) and Thomas (Cheryl Goetzke).
He authored a book of poems, "Whimsies and Wonderings: Poems of Everyday Life", 2015, and continued to create poems until Covid came.
