He was predeceased by: his grandson Robert Sobel; his siblings, Leon, Ernie, Neil Jr. (Donald Harris) and Alice Parker (Florence Heinlein); and his parents, Neil E. and Ruth Mae Nichols Harris Sr..

He is survived by: his girlfriend Sharon Major; his girlfriend's son David of Honeoye Falls; his daughters, Marie Sobel of Mt. Morris and Rain Sadkane (Youssef); and his sisters-in-law, Shirley Harris of Batavia, Marge Harris of Wadsworth and Sue Beachel of Cuylerville. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
