He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Beverly Nadge Shutts; his son William Shutts (Kim) of Cuylerville; his grandchild Taylor Mende (Daniel); his great grandchild Nora of Geneseo; his grandson Tyler Shutts (Janelle); and his parents, William Shutts and Pauline Bigelow Shutts. He was also cherished by several in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
