With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Daniel E. Hainey of Geneseo, New York, born in Cortland, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 1, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Edward Hainey; his brother Matthew Hainey; his brother-in-law Skip Luthart; and his mother Elizabeth Jane O'Connor Hainey. He is survived by: his children, Jake Hainey (Allie) of Reno, NV, Amber Hainey of Geneseo and Lynn Giglio of Rochester; his grandchildren, McKenna, Emma and Marisa; his siblings, Timothy Hainey (Georgette) of Wellsville, Mark Hainey (Donna Schneble) of Dansville, Peter Hainey (Tammy) of Mt. Morris, Ellen Spink (Ron) of Geneseo, Kelly Luthart of Cuylerville and Laurie Kennedy (Kelly) of Groveland; and his close friend Mary Roodenburg of Geneseo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
