He was predeceased by: his parents, James Donovan and Helen Donovan. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his children, Kevin (Christine) and Colleen (Sean Henning); his grandchildren, Rielly Albee, Reed Albee, Keeley Donovan and Remington Albee; his stepgranddaughter Nicole Trautwein (Josh); his great grandchild Eli Trautwein; his brothers, Robert (Susan) and Thomas (Carol); and his siblings-in-law, Bernard and Mary Bell.
He was awarded the Niagara Orleans Foundation award in 2002 and was inducted into the Roy-Hart Wall of Fame in 2017.
