He was predeceased by: his parents, John Welz and Mildred Welz (Kovara). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Upright (Power); his children, Kenneth Upright of Poughkeepsie, Laura Eckert (Gregory) of New Paltz and Gary Upright of Gardiner; his grandchildren, Derek, Kyle and Jordan; his siblings, Jeff Welz (Noelle) of Weekawken, NJ and Eileen Domer of Gardiner; and his niece Debbie Panek (New Paltz). He is also survived by many loving brother and sister in-laws.
