She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincent McGarry and Alice McGarry; and her sisters, Alice Hart and MaryJane Thomas. She is survived by: her husband John "Arthur" Fanelli of Gardiner; and her children, Michael Otis (Maria) of Kingston, Christopher Popick (India) of Marlboro, NY, Kathleen Otis-Kavouras of New Paltz and James Robert Otis (Mary) of Saugerties. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and five nieces and nephews.
She would often knit hats donating them to cancer patients and the local food pantry for people in need.
