He was predeceased by: his former wife Beulah. He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth and Karen; his wife Elizabeth Ann; his stepson Karl Nystrom (Donna); and his grandsons, Michael Nystrom (Nida) and Kevin Nystrom.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Park Funeral Chapels (2175 Jericho Turnpike, Garden City Park, NY 11040). A Mass was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 9:45 AM at the Our Lady of the Snows R. C. Church (258-15 80th Ave, Floral Park, NY 11004). A burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Holy Spirit Ukranian Catholic Cemetery (141 Sarah Wells Trail, Campbell Hall, NY 10916). At the age of 90, he started bowling every Friday with his son and a small group of seniors at Herrill Lanes in NHP, but COVID unfortunately removed that social activity from his life.
