She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Rose Benanti and Jerome Benanti; her siblings, Annette, Diane and Fred; and her partner Lynn.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Park Funeral Chapels (2175 Jericho Turnpike, Garden City Park, NY 11040). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 9:45 AM at the St. Joseph R. C. Church (130 5th St, Garden City, NY 11530). A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Charles Cemetery (1100 New Hwy suite 407 suite 407, Farmingdale, NY 11735).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Joy's memory to the American Lung Association (https://action.lung.org) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
