He was predeceased by: his father Clinton H. Carter; his wife Darlene Cagle; his sisters, Susie Burch (Joe) and MaryAnn; and his foster brother Joe Clark.
He is survived by: his mother Helen Carter (Hutchins); his close friends, Glen Brown, Leland Haas, Kenny Brown, Randy Carpenter, Jerry Dragon, Bobby Nassivera, Jimmy Nassivera and Mike Flores; his brother-in-law Tom Cagle; his children, Chris Carter (Cori), Jeremy Carter (Marie), Billy Joe Carter and Cassandra Lashley (Daniel); his grandchildren, Chaelinn (Adrian), Caemon, Cosym (Valeria), Alexandria (Casey), Kayla (John), Kayden, Zeke and Aiden; his great grandchildren, Aralyn, Adelynn, Zara and Kellen; and his siblings, Duane Carter (Sukcha), Cynthia Millington (Mark) and Rebecca Reynolds (Ben). He is also survived by his family and loved being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (155 Ballard Rd, Gansevoort, NY 12831).
