It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert M. Shearing of Gainesville, New York, born in Warsaw, New York, who passed away on October 26, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Herbert Shearing and Elsa Dora Bauer; his sister Nancy Pattridge; and his siblings-in-law, Ronald Pattridge, Bonnie Shearing and Leslie Shearing.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Higgins Shearing; his children, Suzanne M. McDowell (Timothy) of Gainesville and Greg Shearing of Gainesville; his brothers, David H. Shearing (Eleanor Jacobs) of Perry and James D. Shearing of Gainesville; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy J. Wilson (James) of Livonia, NY and Charles A. Higgins (Emily) of Hilton, NY. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
