It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Valorie Ann VanAvery of Fultonville, New York, born in Gloversville, New York, who passed away on February 22, 2022, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Brown and Evelyn Cheney Brown; her husband Nelson C. "Butch" VanAvery; her siblings, Floyd Ropeter (Phyllis), Sally Bates and Sharon Fosmire; and her brothers-in-law, Edward Manzer, Dick Fosmire, Carl Ward and John LaVada.
She is survived by: her children, Tina Kearns (Brian) of Fultonville, Nelson VanAvery (Rachel) of Ilion, NY, Eric VanAvery (Amy) of Fultonville, Annie Himpsl (Scott) of Broadalbin, Robert VanAvery of Gloversville and Amanda Wemple of Fonda; her siblings, Malvina Ward, Orletta LaVada, Linda Sweet (Joe), Rene Manzer, Velice Decker (Lew) and Michael Palmer (Pam); her brother-in-law Mike Bates; her grandchildren, Cheyenne, Christian, Meghan, Mariah, Cade, Emerald, Nathan, Kailee, Breanna, Kyle, Noah, Leigha, Matthew and Austin; and her close friend Zoey. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her beloved dog.
