He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Helene Van Alstyne (Duesler) and Robert J. Van Alstyne; his children, Jean M. Putnam (Rich), Krystal Van Alstyne (Margie) and Jeffrey Van Alstyne Jr. (Haley); his siblings, Robert H. Van Alstyne, Lawrence Van Alstyne, Suzanne Hinkle (Gary) and Mary Ellen Francisco (Vernon); his grandchildren, Jillian Putnam and Donavan Putnam; his pet Hunter; his sister-in-law Sally Van Alstyne; and also, Arena VanAlstyne, Corrinne Kindt, Heather Sahler and Michael Kindt Jr..
