He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Heaphy and Leona Heaphy (Delaney); his wife Nancy Sue Heaphy (Bellinger); his brothers, Leo "Nipper" and James Heaphy; his grandson Douglas "Slim" Raymond, Jr.; and his son-in-law Aaron Lane.
He is survived by: his children, Donna L. Fitzgerald (Robbie) of Yakima, WA., Debbie S. Heaphy (Scott) of Cato, Dolores Raymond, John Henry Heaphy of Oswego and Denise R. Lane of Auburn, WA; and his grandchildren, America, Niki, Joshua, Kristi, Melissa and Kelly. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
