He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Aaserud and Margaret Aaserud; his wife Patricia; his siblings, Richard Anton Aaserud, Claudia Lucille Allen, Raymond Charles Aaserud and Kenneth James Aaserud; his grandchildren, Maggie Sheldon and Michael S. Cole; and his stepson Steve H. Cole.
He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly Desimone (James); his stepdaughters, Laura Cole, Kathleen Perkins, Patricia Cole-Landers (Eric Mackin), Valerie Cochrane (Patrick) and Belinda Cole; and his brother William Joseph Aaserud (Anne). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
