He is survived by: his children, Brian Merritt (Lisa Cashel) of Fulton and Alecia Merritt of Sedona, Arizona; his siblings, David Merritt (Killeen) of Fairport, Lou-Ann Ahart of Oswego and Sue Merritt (Gary Babcock) of Oswego; his grandchildren, Kyra Merritt and Kyler Cashel; and the mother of his children Joann Merritt of Fulton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
