She was predeceased by: her father Charles Sturgis; her husband William B. Joice; her siblings, David Sturgis, Peter Sturgis, Christine Sturgis and Martha Becker; and her son-in-law Bob Gillen.

She is survived by: her children, Leanne Joice-Gillen of Hannibal and Bill Joice (Deb) of Fulton; her sister Margaret Mack; and her grandchildren, Meghan Gillen (Noah) and Steven Henri (Taylor). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family.
