He was predeceased by: his parents, Burton Bassinger and Ruth Peterson Bassinger; his daughter Carrie Miyahama; and his brother Richard Bassinger. He is survived by: his significant other Barbara Kuss; his children, Linda Barker (David) of Ohio, Michael Bassinger (Sherry) of Texas, Melanie Fanjoy (Kevin) of Colorado and Steven Bassinger of Michigan; his son-in-law Masanao Miyahama of Michigan; his siblings, Jean Bassinger and Douglas Bassinger (Sue); his sister-in-law Bonnie Bassinger; and also, John Lischak (Kathi), Sandra Carey (Bob), Donna Ruotolo (Tony), Walter Lischak (Barbara) and Hailey Lischak. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the memorial fund of First United Church of Fulton, 33 South Third Street, Fulton, NY 13069, in Jim's memory.
