He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Hort and Gertrude Colvin Hort; his son William Henry Hort; and his brother William Hort. He is survived by: his wife Daisy Hort; and his children, JoAnn Lower and George W. Hort (Shelly). He is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
