She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Starck and Elsie Niederberger Starck; her husband George Hort; and her son William Henry Hort. She is survived by: her children, JoAnn Lower of Sylvan Beach and George Hort (Shelly) of Oswego; and her brother-in-law Thomas Edmister. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
