He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rubins and Celia Hagbourne Rubins; and his siblings, June Holder, Richard and Frank Rubins.

He is survived by: his children, David Rubins (Heidi), Angela Rubins and Laura Spadora (Peter); his grandchildren, Alexandra Rubins, Miranda, Madeline, Lauren Spadora, Joseph, Derrick and Victoria Hill; and his brothers, John and Paul Rubins.
