He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Floyd Pettit and Iva Harrington Pettit; his wife Beverly J. Corliss of Palermo; his children, Suzanne L. Borden (Robert) of Oswego, Debra J. Mullen (Leonard) of Oswego, Charles E. Pettit, Jr. of Pulaski, James M. Pettit (Shannon) of Palermo and Thomas F. Pettit (Melissa) of Florida; and his siblings, Mary N. Kling (late Robert) of Clay City, KY, Paul J. Pettit (Barbara) of Palermo and Henry A. Pettit (Sandy) of Clay City, KY. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
