She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd J. Lynn and Norma I. Vollmer Lynn; her son Thomas W. "Tommy" Roberts; her husband Richard H. Rice; and her sisters, Patricia Lynn Lapham and Shirley Lynn Ross.

She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Terry Lapham, Cindy Sabey, Jeffrey Ross, Diana Rice Easley, Laurine Rice Campbell, Robert Rice and Daniel Rice; and her close friend Marjorie McEwen (Jim Lindsley).
