He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leon MacDonell and Catherine Williams MacDonell; his wife Nancy Campbell; his brother Herbert Leon MacDonell of Corning, N. Y.; his sons, Scott Campbell MacDonell of Clifton Spring, N. Y. and Craig MacDonell of Bolivar, N. Y.; and his grandchildren, Christa Leigh Socha, Robert Todd MacDonell, James David MacDonell and Alyn Robert MacDonell. He was also cherished by 8 great-grandsons and 2 great-granddaughters; 1 close friend, but regarded as a son.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Robert's name to The Pioneer Oil Museum, Bolivar, NY or to the Veterans Administration.
