He was predeceased by: his parents, LaRue Swift and Vivian P. Robinson Swift; and his brother Bruce Emery. He is survived by: his wife Earletta M. Hobbs; his son LaRue E. "Sam" Swift (Rebecca Dunham); his grandchildren, Danielle Cupples (Chris), Michelle Donica (Gregg) and Stacey Dunham; his great grandchildren, Luke Swift, Lily Cupples, Jackson Donica, Samantha Dunham and Gregory Dunham; his siblings, Mark Emery (Connie) and Judy Roofner (Victor); and his sister-in-law Julie Emery.
