Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Janice leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Heckman and Eleanor M. Cady Heckman; and her sister Victoria L. VanGrol. She is survived by: her sons, Josh Sassone (Ashley) of Friendship, Erich Ruppert, Jr. of Greece and John LaFleche of Rochester; her grandson Josh "JJ" Sassone, Jr.; and her brothers, Richard "Butch" Heckman (Lisa) and Thomas Heckman (Michelle). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the SPCA serving Allegany County.
