Gail E. Bartas Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gail E. Bartas of Friendship, New York, born in Lackawanna, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 28, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Gail find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon B. Chilcott and Betty G. Chilcott (Taylor). She is survived by: her children, Steven Bartas (Joan) of East Smethport, PA, Donna Bunce (Steve) of Spencer, NY, Joyce McGarry (Kelly) of Wind Gap, PA and Carol Brown of Limestone; and her brother Alton Chilcott of Orchard Park. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren & was expecting a great grandson any day, 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc. (9 Bull, Cuba, NY 14727). A committal service will be held on Monday, October 7th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cuba Driftbusters or Allegheny County Federation of Snowmobilers, P.O. Box 11, Cuba, New York 14727.
