He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Homer Claflin and Edith Claflin; his wife Betty Cobane; his children, Howard Jr. (Mikki) and Dianna (James Willis); and his siblings-in-law, Allen Cobane (Rosemary), Glenn Cobane (Elaine), Penny Hoyt (Van) and Dar Cobane. He was also cherished by three grandchildren, two great grandsons.
