He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Fox and Ethel Allen Fox; his grandson George Quinlan Fox; his daughter Deborah Robin Fox; his brothers, Robert Fox and Michael David Fox; and his close friend Margaret Parmley.

He is survived by: his children, Matthew Fox of Binghamton, NY, Christopher Fox (Susan) of McLean, NY, Benjamin Fox (Jennifer) of Harford, NY and Sarah Dayton (Jorge Eller) of Manlius, NY; his former wife Deborah Combs Fox of Freeville, NY; his brother Jack Fox (Grace) of Rochester, NY; and his sons, Chris and Ben. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren.
