He was predeceased by: his parents, David Moore and Veneta Bullen Buckner (Bullen); his stepfather Lawrence Buckner; and his siblings, David Newton and Magla Newton.
He is survived by: his son Khari Shabazz (Kenneth Edward Bullen); his wife Claudette E. Bullen; his children, Jeannine Loretta Bullen and Matthew Gordon Bullen; and his grandchildren, Khari Bullen Shabazz, Khamali Shabazz, Justin Gordon Bullen-Campos of Wisly, Augustin, Nina Merite Augustin and Rashed Shabazz. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
